Update - Fall 2000

  Jennifer is doing great!

She recently had her 3 month check up that went very well. During that visit and a subsequent test, she received a CT scan, chest Xray and an ultrasound. It is still a very stressfull time for both Jennifer and ourselves.

The next visit to the hospital was to meet with the heart surgeon to discuss here PDA (heart murmur). He was still able to hear the murmur and suggested she should have the surgery. It is tentatively scheduled for January 2001.

She also met with some doctors from Orthopedics. There the news was somewhat better. The discrepancy between the length of her legs was only 1cm. The difference will likely get worse as she grows older, but they are not really concerned about it and will not see her again for two years.

Jennifers next quarterly visit is scheduled for September 20th. Hope to have an update soon after this.

September 20th Update

This visit went very well. All the tests came back clear!

December 13th Update

A little scary this time!

Whenever the technician has to get a doctor to review a ultrasound or they need to do more CT scans because they think they see something on her bowel, you start to think the unthinkable. For Jennifer's sake, nothing showed up.

The next visit will include the usual precedures plus a test of kidney function. Apparently her blood tests showed something so the doctors would like to ensure everything is OK with her remaining kidney.
